Burned Dead Trees in the Lake Bottom

On the trail through the Lake Bottom portion of the Bison Trail at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge there are some parts of the forest where there have been fires. The trees remain, but they are black. These dead trees provide markers on the trail and home to several species of wildlife.
